Captain Pam Akins and the Corrections
Officers are charged with care, custody and control of primarily adult male
and female prisoners. Prisoners may be sentenced or unsentenced by
the court.
In 2001, a total of 1221 inmates were
booked into the facility. The jail housed 629 out-of-county inmates
for various agencies. The current rate for out-of-county housing is
$50.00 per day, which does not include medical costs. A
total of $233,694 was profited from out-of-county housing in 2001.
